The way it went:
Friendly Video Man: We're sponsoring the Sunshine Children's Foundation at Mercy Hospital. The kids have a movie and video game night every Tuesday. Would you like to donate two candies for two dollars?
Snooty Customer: No! And you should be ashamed of yourself for feeding them candy. They should be eating vegetables and fruit!
The way it should've gone:

Snooty Customer: Absolutely! That's a great thing you guys are doing. I wish more companies in our community were so giving. I'm sure God is smiling down upon you. Bless your sweet soul. Can I buy four?
The way it might've gone had it been my last day:

The last thing they want to eat while playing video games is a friggin' carrot! Have some heart you pea-brained bastard. Now buy the damn Twix or I'll shove this stapler up your ignorant ass! ... Would you like a bag for that?

Let me know when it is your last day so I can be there when you say things like that to ignorant customers! Holy crap, you made me laugh. Yeah, because Twizzlers are those kids' biggest problem.

Oh, and I hate people who argue with you when you have to give some spiel. It's like, do I look like the person who makes the decisions around here? If you disagree with the company's stand on something, chances are it's not the person behind the counter.
Although this might not be relevant for you, Mr. Big-Shot Manager-Type person.
Personally, any time anyone asks me to donate or sign up or whatever else that I don't want to do, I say, get this folks, "No thanks." really, how hard is that?
